Client Confidence:
The firm is bound by the requirements of Advocate –client confidentiality in all dealings, correspondences and discussions with clients. It is the firm’s business to safeguard client privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Client Update:
The firm furnishes its clients with regular progress reports on all matters entrusted to its conduct. The firm also renders legal opinions immediately upon delivery of judgements and endeavor to stay execution in all matters in cases where stay of execution is required, for such reasonable time as will enable the client to arrange to settle the judgement debts or lodge appropriate appeals. We also negotiate and seek easier (installment-based) settlement terms for all judgement debts, subject to client instructions and acceptance.
For non-court matters, we furnish the progress reports fortnightly.
Data and computer system in the office:
The firm has put in place adequate computer system:-
- Client and office accounting system put in place by qualified and experienced system programmer.
- Internet connection on 24-hour basis to facilitate efficient communication with clients and research on complicated areas of law.
- Personal computers for all the key staff: PC to staff ratio 1:1
- Centralized computer printing systems.
- Adequate computer backup system.
- Databank of all standard documents and forms (including trust deeds, standard form contracts and agreements, charges, mortgages, debentures, discharges, debt collection, letters, company forms) and other policy documents.
Details of representation in other locations:
- The Firm’s registered office is based in Nairobi.
- We have put in place an effective arrangement with lawyers in all major towns in Kenya including; Kisumu, Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Kisii, Kiambu, Kajiado, Malindi and Machakos who are useful particularly in attending to matters that do not require our personal attention.
Professional indemnity:
- The Firm has in place a professional Indemnity Insurance cover of Ksh.100,000,000/=.
- The amount of cover is kept under constant review with a view of increasing it to meet the exigencies of the firm’s business.
Legal and Consultancy fees:
The fees are charged as per the Advocates Remuneration Order or as agreed in writing between the Firm and the client, in view of the nature and complexity of the work.
